FAQs
How far is Pachānanda Retreat Center from Cusco city center?
We are located just above the historical center of Cusco and a 30 minute walk down an old inca trail or a 10 minute cab ride brings you straight there.
How far is Pachānanda Retreat Center from Cusco Airport?
Depending on traffic we are a 20-30 minutes cab ride away from the airport of Cusco (Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport (CUZ)). We can arrange a pick up from the airport for you with our trusted driver for an additional cost of approx. 10-15 USD (please pay the driver directly).
Will the altitude affect me?
Most people show some mild altitude adaptation symptoms during the first 24 hours on high altitude, like a headache, dizziness or insomnia. We recommend taking it slow in the first couple of days in Cusco, eating a little lighter than usual and most important: staying hydrated.
How warm or cold is it in Cusco?
Whilst Peru generally is a warmer country due to the close proximity to the equator, because of the high altitude in Cusco it is a bit different here. Key is: layers. It can be chilly in the shade and at night and pretty warm in the sun. So you want to be able to take off or on layers quite easily during the day.
